Liturgical and Worship Ministries

Our liturgical and worship ministries help shape our communal prayer and worship. These ministries prepare and assist with liturgy so that our celebrations are welcoming, reverent, and reflective of the diverse gifts of our community.

Many are drawn to this ministry because:

  • They want to create a welcoming experience. Liturgical ministers help ensure that every celebration is inviting and inclusive, so all feel at home in worship.
  • They want to use their gifts for the good of the community. Whether through hospitality, proclamation, music, or service at the altar, ministers offer their unique talents to enrich communal prayer.
  • They believe worship is something we do together. Liturgical ministry reflects the diverse gifts within the parish and reminds us that each person has a role in building up the Body of Christ.

Ultimately, people become liturgical ministers because they understand that worship is not a performance to watch, but a sacred celebration to participate in — and they feel called to help lead others into that encounter with God.
